What an eerie shape that arm is making, like the bandaged creature in Study For Figures At The Base Of A Crucufix.

Tell him/her to attribute you underneath the quote!

You've lost something or someone. I wish for your recovery and renewal to be swift and strengthening. I came back to read it again because I wish the same for myself.

In school I was so terrified that I developed furtive compulsions, like for instance I'd crumple a piece of paper in my hands under the desk where it couldn't be seen, I'd fold and unfold it repeatedly, worrying at it, in an attempt to calm myself. By the end of the day it was much smaller, and soft as silk. I'll probably end up the same way.

Lovely. No, more than lovely. True. It feels true to my life. Must be the reason for these tears. I didn't cry till the last two paragraphs. I don't normally believe in my tears, but I believe in these.

Oh Keith! You can't blame readers. It's the writers who leave their doors and windows wide open as they jet off to Literary Festivals. And if readers are thieves prone to clobbering authors on the heads, who on earth are the critics? Maybe they are the Mafia.

I've read this book... for false reasons. Just because I was planning to go to New Larnark and thought it was related. It was not ! But I loved the book and I loved the place. If you have any chance, you should visit this place !
